Best Paper Awards

The Conference Best Paper Award will be selected based on the review process of the submitted papers followed by visitation (by judges) during the oral presentation of the candidate papers

1. The paper must be of high-quality content and be favorably reviewed by the ICSMD2026 Technical Program Chairs.

2. At least one author must be registered and present at the Conference in person.

3. The author must attend the Award Ceremony & pick up their certificate in person. Failing to do will result in forfeiting the award.

Best Student Paper Awards

The Best Student Paper Award will be selected based on the review process of the submitted student paper followed by visitation (by judges) during the Poster presentation delivered by the student.

1. The paper must be of high-quality content and be favorably reviewed by the ICSMD2026 Technical Program Chairs.

2. The paper must be primarily the work of the student even if there are multiple co-authors involved. The student must be the first author of the paper.

3. The student must attend the conference and present the paper.

4. The student must attend the Award Ceremony & pick up their certificate in person. Failing to do so will result in forfeiting the award.

Best Poster Awards

1. The paper must be of high-quality content and be favorably reviewed by the ICSMD2026 Technical Program Chairs.

2. At least one author must be registered and present the paper in the Poster Session.

3. The author must attend the Award Ceremony & pick up their certificate in person. Failing to do will result in forfeiting the award.

ICSMD Young Investigator Award

One individual will be selected annually from the outstanding young contributors who are 38 years old or younger at the time of awarding. This award is open to all young investigators working in the areas related to sensing, measurement and data analytics including those listed in the Call for Papers. While we expect the awardee to be an active participant of the past conferences, this award is based not only on papers presented at the conferences but on contributions made elsewhere. Contributions may be technical or scientific publications, theses, patents, inventions, or combinations of the above in the field of sensing, measurement and data analytics.

The award will consist of a certificate and an honorarium.

The complete nomination package in PDF form must be electronically submitted by October 10, 2026 to ICSMD 2026 Steering Committee
